Mere Christianity

Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis

recommended by Bryan

This book is a cornerstone of Christian theology, and required reading in some seminaries. The content began as a series of Christian philosophy radio “talks” from 1942-1944. Lewis begins with discussion of some basic philosophic principles such as ‘human nature’ and the ‘laws of nature’ and then introduces Christian beliefs, including forgiveness, the Trinity, personal salvation and the social gospels. If someone is engaged in reflection of how to justify the existence of a Christian God in relation to human nature, this book is well worth reading. Need to put your Thinking Cap on and prepare to focus on the reading if you’re game.
