recommended by Cheyanne

After her mother abandons her, Ruby Cooper is forced to move in with her sister, Cora. Ruby continues to dislike this arrangement and tries to run away. Nate, her next door neighbor, saves her from being disciplined. Because of this, Nate and Ruby begin to form a close relationship. And, when Ruby begins to delve deeper into Nate’s home life, she finds that they are not so different after all. Lock and Key is a fascinating read about the similarities and differences that can bring two people together.
