What could happen if a nation’s leaders had the admirable goal of protecting women from all the violence and dangers out there, but their motives were dubious? You might end up with a government totally lacking in transparency and a society with arranged marriages for some women while other women were valued only for childbirth. But women could feel safe walking the streets. A feeling of freedom? Not likely…
